We are excited to bring an Rx Fire Field Day to the Matador WMA. This hands-on workshop focuses on the vital role of prescribed fire in land management. Join us for expert insight on management practices from four partnering organizations: 


Texas Parks & Wildlife, Pheasants Forever/Quail Forever, Texas A&M Agrilife, and the Southern Rolling Plains Prescribed Burn Association. 


The morning features sessions on fire ecology, burning laws, and landowner assistance, followed by a provided lunch. In the afternoon, attendees will experience a burn trailer showcase and a live prescribed fire demonstration (or a WMA tour, weather permitting) led by qualified fire staff.
