Come experience firsthand the impact of prescribed fire on wildlife habitat and land management. This field day offers a unique opportunity to observe the mosaic created by fire several months after a dormant-season burn.
Participants will explore how fire influences plant diversity, wildlife response, and the regeneration of different forested areas. Guided discussions will take place at multiple stops throughout the property, highlighting real-world outcomes and management strategies.
Attendees with side-by-sides (SxS) are encouraged to bring them. We will travel across the site using SxS units and assist in transporting participants to key locations for discussion.
This will be an engaging, informative, and highly visual workshop for anyone interested in habitat improvement and land stewardship.
🍴Lunch will be provided at the conclusion of the tour. Please register so that we can plan for food!
